Client is seeking a Developer with a C# and Python background for a financial services client of ours in New York City. The client extending the use of its Sec Lending Inventory Mgmt system into its Quartz platform.

·         C# / Python developer needed with 5-7 years experience working in financial services.

·         Main skills C#, Python, SQL

·         Must have experience with front and back-end development

·         Securities Lending application experience preferred

Java Developer, Dallas, TX - 12+ Months - Contract

Position:              Java Developer

Description:

Designs, builds and test changes to the client applications

Responsibilities:

·         Able to own the implementation of a story defined by the analyst

·         Able to monitor own code, and correct if it causes build failures

·         Able to analyze and fix Agile Development Tool/ System defects

·         Good Understanding of the Client stack

·         Helps manage continuous integration process

·         Provides defect support when involved in release features

·         Able to create automated testing stories, updates appropriate auto mated and manual test scripts as features are changed or added

·         Impart knowledge to others

·         Participate in retrospective

·         Follows all architecture standards to maintain quality and minimize technical debt

·         Document all pertinent communication relevant to a story, in Agile Development Tool

Competencies:

·         Technical – Capable of developing code in Java and is well versed in the development tools used by client Team

·         Communication – can deliver status on development of assigned story or defect

·         Focus on the situation, issue, or behaviour, not on the person

·         Ability to mentor – imparts knowledge to Team

·         Flexible/adaptable – can adapt to changing priorities

·         Can Mediate – can bring two opposing sides to discuss and resolve their issue.

·         Willingness to Compromise – Knows which battle to fight

Technologies:

·         Java/Java Script / Swing for java desktop applications

·         C experience is a plus

·         Agile development and delivery

·         Build tools and IDEs such as svn/git/ant/maven/Jenkins, eclipse/rad/intellij – web sphere / tomcat

·         Test-driven-development

·         Frameworks and techniques: spring mvc, hibernate, rest, soa, xml over http;
