Profile/Role Description
The Application Tech
Arch Specialist role will be responsible for the following:
• Support Technology
Roadmap planning and testing efforts
• Document and report
on evaluations and testing results
• Attend technical
meetings and support defining new customer requirements
• Provide Tier 3
support for test and production systems
• Interface with
vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement upgrades and patches, and to identify
vendor product roadmaps
Minimum skills and
qualifications:
• Strong technical
skills and troubleshooting techniques
• Good communications
skills – oral and written
• Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Math, or other related field and 5 years of
related work experience; or Master’s degree and 3 years’ experience; or 9 years
related experience and an industry accepted certification. Experience is needed
in integration and functional testing, operating within version controlled
environments, supporting a production environment following change management
standard practices, administering Linux systems, and one or more of the
following:
o Experience with cloud/automation tools
supporting the automated provisioning of resources
o Experience as an application
developer/integrator
o Experience as an automation engineer
with a focus in Python, Ruby, Perl, PHP or other similar scripting _____language for creating API Call work
flows.
Preferred skills and
qualifications:
• TS/SCI clearance
• Best candidates will

• Understanding of
Networking devices and protocols (firewall, loadbalancer, router, switch)
• Understanding of SAN,

• Understanding of
relational database systems (MS SQL, Oracle, Sybase)
• Understanding of
Datacenter/Server Operational Components (Monitoring, Management, etc.)
• Experience with Git,
Jenkins, and Puppet tools support system automation and configuration
management
• Experience with the
design, deployment and administrator of Hadoop or other Big Data systems
• Experience with creation
and integration of a online Service Catalog and implementing chargeback and
showback cost determination
• 3+ years of related
work experience in planning, testing, and documenting technology roadmaps
• 3+ years of
experience in information systems deployment
• 3+ years of
experience supporting production infrastructure following change management
standard practices
• 3+ years of experience
supporting VMware ESX, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, Open Stack, or
Microsoft Hyper-V virtualized environments.
