Description:
A Business Analyst must provide technical assistance, advice and guidance in
the highly complex program aspects of IBIS. A Business Analyst will
utilize the following skills, including, but not limited to:
Analyzes
extent to which systems have achieved the users’ objectives after they have
been installed and are operational.
Investigates
feedback from users and determines appropriate course of action for system
problems and enhancements, requiring thorough knowledge of applications
supported by Benefit Systems.
Provides
expert technical assistance in estimating completion schedules for systems and
programming projects and in evaluating the cost effectiveness of proposed
system changes to a full range of computerized applications to support the
Agency’s Benefit Systems.
Provides
advice to facilitate planning and directing the design, installation,
modifications, enhancements, and operations.
Reviews
and comprehends current and pending legislation; reviews and analyzes
legislative mandates, user initiated changes, and the applications to determine
impact on systems; submits impact reports to the IDES Project Officer for
review.
Works
collaboratively with Senior Quality Assurance Analysts to develop and implement
quality assurance standards, and procedures for Benefit Systems.
Determines testing measures for monitoring the business functions of new or
enhanced systems.
MANDATORY
REQUIREMENTS
Requires
a Bachelor’s Degree with course work in computer science or directly related
technical fields. Please provide the relevant information below that

A
minimum of four years of professional experience in business analysis and
requirements gathering obtained within the last seven years. Please

Must
have detailed knowledge of Microsoft SQL, preferably Squirrel for SQL and DB2
Command Line Editor. Please provide the job title(s) for work performed

PREFERRED
REQUIREMENTS:
Detailed
knowledge of File Transfer Utilities, specifically MoveIt, SFTP, and SFH.
