positions (two even had more than nine years of experience).
Position Description:
Client is seeking a software developer to build and maintain
high-performance Java-based, back-end scoring and statistics systems for
NBA.com. The right candidate must be a self-learner and be able to work in a
fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality and defect-free code for
projects throughout the year that have fixed deadlines. Working on a small
dedicated team, the candidate will collaborate with product development and
various technical teams and vendors.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Two to four years professional software development experience.
Required Qualifications –

B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree

Excellent communication skills
·
Excellent troubleshooting skills
·
Demonstrated ability to master new technologies quickly
·
Full life-cycle software development process
·
Familiar with agile development methodologies
·
Comfortable working from Linux command line
·
Experience with Java J2EE 1.5+ platform
·
Familiar with one or more source code control technologies
(CVS/SVN/GIT)
·
Familiar with XML processing
·
Relational database skills - Knowledge/interest in the NBA or
other professional sports –
·
Front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS)
Desired Qualifications - JMS on MQSeries or ActiveMQ – Hibernate -
Spring - Atlassian technologies (JIRA, Bamboo, etc.) - Ruby
