REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

What You’ll Do

As a Java Technical Lead you will be responsible for technical lead duties in the Field Connect Team. In addition, you will:

    Create or oversee the creation of detailed Java application design from requirements and high level architectural design documentation

    Provide work direction for other technical resources

    Coordinate and track project work with onsite and offshore resources –

    Complete feature development along with team in an agile/scrum manner

Qualifications

    We need an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who thrives on solving problems and working in a global team environment. Ideally, you     

    will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, or a related discipline and/or equivalent work experience. We also require:

    5 + years of Java development experience

    Good knowledge of the Software Development Process

    Experience working with offshore development teams

    Familiarity with Agile/Kanban and XP coding practices

    Willingness and ability to travel internationally

A strong candidate will also have:

    Knowledge of web services, hibernate, JSON, AJAX, HTML5 and/or XML

    Ability to work with complex host applications requiring high performance and scalability

    Integration experience

    Familiarity with iterative development

    User of Test Drive Development Practices
