Job Description:
Description of duties and responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be self-motivated with high energy
and drive to excel. The ability to independently and intelligently reason and
provide solutions is a must. The candidate should have a proven track record
working collaboratively with customers and colleagues. Major responsibilities
include, but are not limited to the following:
• Partners
with MSA Business leaders and executives to identify needs and opportunities
for agile BW solutions with improved data analytics and delivery.
• Performs
investigational analysis with the business to determine project feasibility,
define value propositions, and establishes ROI for BW projects.
• Drive
SAP-BW projects, implementations, upgrades, and ongoing support.
• Work
closely with MSA Leadership Team, IT Departments and key business users of BW
gathering business requirements.
• Translates
business requirements into functional specifications.
• Work with
architects to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Help
prepare and maintain documentation, including procedures, system
specifications, technical documentation, computer training materials and user
manuals.
• Help
estimate resource requirements and create plans, timelines, milestones, user
approvals, and charts/reports in BW projects.
• Work
closely with source system global team members to identify data in source
systems and map data to the SAP Business Warehouse environment.
• Pinpoint
data quality gaps and develop a plan to close these gaps.
• Maintain high
degree of knowledge/understanding of SAP-BW technologies, business processes,
and release levels.
• Conducts
end-user training, when needed.

Quickly establish credibility and
foster collaborative relationships within business leaders.
Business knowledge and
understanding of business processes.
Interface with internal customers
and communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
Work with business and functional
analysts to interpret business reporting requirements and design accurate and
stable functional solutions.
Experience designing, developing
and configuring in SAP Business Warehouse 7.x
Knowledge of data warehousing
principles including Layered Scalable Architecture (LSA)
Experience in data extraction
from SAP and non-SAP systems
Sound analytical, problem
solving, planning and organizational skills.
Sound verbal and written
communication skills, including presentations and business writing.
Prioritize and manage multiple
requests or requirements to meet corporate business objectives. Ability
to adjust to changing priorities.
1% - 10% Global travel as
required for education, conferences, on-site projects and implementations
Education and experience required:
This position is available at two
different career levels based upon experience:
Level one: 3 years IT and 2 years
relevant BW experience
Level two: 5 years IT and 5 years
relevant BW experience
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information
Science, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Master of Business Administration
Experience in SQL or knowledge of
relational databases
Experience in Microsoft SQL
Server and/or Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Experience in SAP Business
Explorer (BEx) or SAP BusinessObjects
