Job Description:
We are looking for User Interface Developer with 4+ years
that has previous experience with Javascript MV* Web Frameworks such as
AngularJS or Backbone or other similar framework to join our Knowledge
Solutions team within then Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting business unit.
The User Interface Software Developer is responsible for designing and
developing high quality, large cross-browser, single page web applications
(SPA) using JavaScript. You will be using an in-house front-end application
framework based on AngularJS and latest web technologies, development best
practices, and within a large interdisciplinary team.
The UI Developer is someone that is passionate about the
latest generation of client-side technologies (AngularJS, HTML5, Node.JS,
Grunt, Yeoman...the list goes on). As a User Interface Developer you will
constantly assess, evaluate, and integrate best practices and industry
innovations in web development and is a team Player with excellent oral and
written communications skills
Primary Responsibilities
• Design/Develop browser-based large-scale client
application using JavaScript, AngularJS, working with REST & JSON services
backend.
• Collaborate with architects, lead software engineers, and business
analysts on design decisions in a dynamic team environment.
• Develop and deliver software building REST services using
Java or .NET
• Analyze and optimize pages and page design for maximum
performance.
• Develop functional and technical documentation on assigned
projects.
Skills Preferred
• Proven 1+ years’
experience with JavaScript MV* Web Frameworks such as AngularJS or Backbone or
other similar framework
• Proven experience
AJAX, and JSON
• Proven industry
development experience HTML5 and CSS3
• Knowledge of
cross-browser issues and compatibilities (CORS)
• JavaScript Unit
Test tools for Test Driven Development familiarity a big plus.
• REST API
experience, preferable in Java a big plus.
• Bachelor’s degree
in Computer Science or related software technology discipline
