Profile/Role Description:
The ESC Liaison acts as the primary point of contact for all
matters pertaining to monitoring and reporting of systems for the ITC
facilities, to include both internal and external customers. The ESC
Liaison will be required to communicate with all resources to ensure proper
service is being provided. The ESC Liaison acts as “on site” point of
contact at the customer site ESC facility. The ESC Liaison maintains
communications between the ITC facilities and the customer.
• Communicate with all entities at the ITC facilities.
• Monitor and Report any and all incidents or updates to the
proper personnel at the ITC facilities.
• Primary point of contact for any/all matters for ITC
incident reporting.
• Troubleshoot and resolution of ITC issues.
• Routing of tickets for ITC facilities.
• Communication with the customer as representation of ITC
facilities.
• Engagement with vendors for hardware problems.
• Participation in 7x24 On-Call Support, by utilization of a
pager.
• Support of Client Engagements Utilizing Center Resources
Technical Responsibilities:
Breadth of technical experience including systems
administration, computer/server hardware, and HVAC. Understanding of data
center operations and processes to effectively communicate between customer,
vendors and ITC facilities personnel.
Minimum skills and qualifications:
• Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
• Must be a US Citizen
• ALL positions require Sec+ certification within 90
days of start to be 8570 compliant.
Technical Skills:
• Networking
o Experience with CISCO and other Networking gear
o Switch configuration and troubleshooting
o Fiber Optic Cable knowledge
• Systems
o General knowledge of Unix and Linux
o Operational knowledge of Windows Server OS
o Systems Administration
• Computer/Server hardware
o Blade server technologies
o Enterprise class servers – SUN
o Knowledge of X86 platform & SAN Architectures
Preferred skills and qualifications:
• Documentation of technical processes/procedures applicable
to skill set
• Communication in speaking (meetings, vendors, or other
members)
• Participate and occasionally lead in team cooperation
across teams of diverse people.
• Express ideas in a manner that contributes to the
resolution of encountered issues
• Document solutions for reusability and knowledge sharing.
• ITIL best-practice understanding for effective
communications.
• 2 to 5 years of practical experience as a systems analyst
and administrator.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, related field or
equivalent experience
Travel/Shift Hours/OT Requirements:
• Travel to ITC facilities as needed.
• Shift hours are dependent upon need but primarily set for
M-F(6am – 3pm).
• Shift hours are dependent upon meetings set by customer,
if needed then ESC Liaison is therefore required to attend as representative
for the ITC facilities.
