Job Description:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, establishing testing strategy and plan, analysis of business requirements & designs for testability, design and development of test cases, utilization of appropriate tools to develop automated test scripts, and execution of various testing types such as System, system Integration, performance and modeling. Develops the Testing components of application solutions by applying knowledge of service offerings, capabilities, innovation, sales pursuit strategy, Testing & Quality Methodology and best practices to collaborate with the Project team and client to deliver high quality solutions.

Typical Duties: 
·         Under minimal direction, formulate and define system scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of information technology, business processes, and industry requirements.
·         Act as a liaison between client and technical solutions/ support groups, using advanced communication skills to elicit, document, analyze and validate client requirements.
·         Apply extensive knowledge of the client’s business and industry to develop requirements specifications.
·         Document requirements, and translate into proper system requirements specifications using high-maturity methods, processes and tools.
·         Develop visualization, user experience and configuration elements of solution design.
·         Execute and coordinate requirements management and change management processes.
·         Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to support management of scope and expectations.
·         Participate in proposals, feasibility studies, implementations, and new business development.
·         Operates as a team member. Advise on methods to improve business processes.
·         Consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
·         May lead the training of clients and peers.
·         Applies specialization to develop a Test Plan for a test level to be executed for a project, as specified in the Testing Strategy for the project.
·         Coordinates and collaborates with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure the Test Plan and identified testing solutions meet customer needs and expectations.
·         Assists in the preparation of estimates for the performance of the various activities defined in the Test Plan.
·         Designs complex testing scenarios and test cases that will demonstrate conformance to all functional and non-functional requirements, relative to the test level, as defined in business or technical specifications.
·         Reviews and analyzes test results to confirm, establish, and communicate the cause of the discrepancy.
·         Identifies inadequacies and improvement opportunities in the methods/standards and recommends changes.
·         Stays current on established tools, techniques, and technologies.
·         Supports/leads knowledge management and collaboration through participation in testing discussions, communities and improving testing collateral through lessons learned
·         Required Skills and/or Product Knowledge:
·         6 or more year experience.

Essential: requirements elicitation via interviewing; requirements determination using structured techniques for documentation, analysis, evaluation/ validation; decomposition of high-level information into details; abstracting low-level information; distinguishing requests vs needs; distinguishing requirements vs. solutions; classifying/ prioritizing requirements; OO techniques using UML models; ambiguity analysis, ensuring consistent understanding across users, designers and testers; business process modeling of current state and desired/ future state processes; defining and managing scope and client expectations, requirements change management and traceability; identifying and mitigating risks; applying creativity to solving complex problems; building relationships and working collaboratively; effective verbal/ written communication; experience in an industry domain. Specialized: developing structured user manuals and training; visualization modeling; process design; business rules modeling; develop and executing acceptance test plans.

·         Proficient in testing analysis and design, functional and performance models, and test specifications to: develop functional models for testing, develop performance models for testing, evaluate and validate test cases and scripts, validate functional models for testing, validate performance models for testing, develop test specifications, validate test specifications, validate testing coverage, escalate quality issues for resolution, evaluate test automation tools and validate testing environment in order to develop test specifications.
·         Exceptional in testing processes and tools to: execute test cases and scripts, analyze test results, report on testing progress and results, facilitate defect resolution and document final test results in order to execute testing engagement.
·         Exceptional in testing processes and testing metrics to: review test summary report, provide testing project feedback and archive testing assets in order to verify completion of testing.

The following skills and experience are preferred:

·         In additional ITIL V3 Foundations knowledge is preferred.
·         Typically a technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Master’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience.
·         Travel requirements:  Travel requirements to client locations are estimated at 5%.
·         General requirements include extensive use of Microsoft Word; along with potential use of Excel, Access, and/or PowerPoint if applicable.  Superior verbal and written communication; attention to detail; and strong organizational skills.

·         Experience in an ITIL environment is preferred.
