Certifications: Selected candidates will meet DoD 8570 Level 2 requirements. Security+ (or equivalent) and an applicable Computing Environment certification (for example Administering Windows Server 2012 – Exam 411 or RHCSA – Exam EX200) are required for acceptable on the project.

This is a hands-on technical position that will join a team responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of Linux systems within the infrastructure team for NAVSEA. This individual will fully support the design, deployment and maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 & 6 server environment. Additional Linux components to be managed include DNS, NTP and Nessus Security Center. Primary job duties will consist of:
· Administering, Installing, Configuring, Hardening Linux Server Infrastructure
· Troubleshooting and responding to customer incidents
· Administering BIND DNS
· Creating and generating reports for customer usage
Basic Skills, clearances and other elements required, in order of importance, and number of years experience, where applicable, in each skill:
· 2+ years administering Red Hat or other Linux Distributions. Certification is required.
· 4+ years performing server hardware/OS/software installation and configuration.
· 1+ years performing DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)/Hardening
· Familiar with VMware vSphere/vCenter
Preferred Skills
· 1+ years supporting BIND DNS Servers.
· 2+ Years experience supporting HP & Dell hardware.
· 2+ Years experience working within a NetApp SAN/NAS storage infrastructure.
· 2+ years experience with Veeam backup products
· 2+ years experience using SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
