Job Description:

Seasoned engineer with ability to build and deploy an enterprise datacenter. Must possess architecture, capacity, and solution design skillsets; vendor management; and team leadership experience. Candidate must also communicate well and deliver significant technological documentation in support of customer continual operations. Team Lead will report to chief engineer and manage a multi-disciplinary build team to meet specific build goals.  Team Lead will provide guidance on execution of project plan, and enable engineering staff to succeed by resolving issues and delivering resources.

Successful candidate will have prior experience on teams and leading engineering teams, be familiar with modern datacenter virtualization toolsets, platforms, and integrations; possess documented experience with DoD security implementations; and have exposure to multiple datacenter disciplines to include compute, storage, networking, firewalling, auditing, and security.

This position will operate as part of a multi-discipline datacenter implementation responsible to deploy, configure, secure, and accredit multiple DoD environments. A DoD secret clearance or higher is required.

Qualifications

Required Educational Background

BA/BS required.    

Required Experience/Skills:

Minimum of then years as an engineer in a related discipline. Minimum of two years of IT Engineering team management. Prior datacenter design and deployment experience. Familiarity with all technical disciplines of datacenter implementation and virtualization.  Excellent time management and vendor management skills. Familiarity with DoD STIG and DIACAP or RMF.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Security+ certification (ability to achieve certificate within 30 days of start)

Desired Skills:
PMP, CMMI, Six Sigma, or like team management credentials.

Special Circumstances:
Job is in Kansas City, MO.  At least 20% travel anticipated
Must be a US Citizen. Secret clearance required.
