Position Details
Expert in the area of Information Technology and Responsible for providing technical system administration to include installs, adding, altering, configuration and ongoing maintenance for the Infrastructure. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine the best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. Leads and / or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and develop and implement solution. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment, meeting deadlines and responding to customer requests in a timely manner. Must be able to pass an in-depth background investigation working with Law enforcement sensitive data. Candidate must be able to work shift, weekends, on-call and emergency operations for routing disaster and training exercises, sponsored and non-sponsored by the customer.

Required Skills: MUST HAVE ALL REQUIRED SKILLS TO BE CONSIDERED
• 5+ years as a Systems Administrator in a diverse Operating systems environment for a large networked
• 5+ years as a leader an organization leading teams
• Expert communication skills with the ability to articulate technical issues, requests or requirements at a leadership level
• Ability to interact with a diverse group of technical resources
• 5+ years working for State and Local government organization
• Developing requirements, builds, design and engineering for systems and environments
• Maintaining and support backup solutions for both production environment and disaster recovery in desperate locations
• 3+ years working with TCP/IP, MAC addresses, networking technologies, various VPN solutions, trouble ticket system, cabling systems
• 3 to 5 years working with Data Center operations, climate control, configuration and supporting the day to day support requirements
• Knowledge and skills managing a mixed operating system environment to include clustering, meshed technologies, blade enclosures,
• Skilled team leader, mentor and coach for subordinate team members
• Demonstrates superior problem solving skills
• Past experience working in an outsourcing engagement
• Remain patient and professional at all times.
• Experience with desktop, laptop and mobile devices
• Experienced with software distribution and auditing utilizing automated tools
• Experience with Microsoft Messaging and collaboration tools
• Experience managing a BES environment
• 3 to 5 years working with virtualization technologies (VMWare, Microsoft)
• 3 to 5 years managing a complex active directory environment
Optional Skills:
• MCSE or other Microsoft Certification
• Knowledge and background with SUSE Linux
• Linux certification a plus
• Leadership skills and competences

Job responsibilities:
• Lead a diverse team of system administrators in the support of Enterprise Operations for a Mid-range team.
• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware in the server environment.
• Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
• Develop training and work level instruction manuals for the environment and teams
• Order equipment, design, build and deploy systems in the environment
• Respond to email messages for customers seeking help.
• Ask questions to determine nature of problem.
• Create requirements for project level work
• Work with core HP Team to support the customer roadmap, inventory and changes to the environment
• Lead change efforts, ensuring teams are creating required documentation to discuss changes to the environment
• Work with 3rd party vendors to fully understand install and support requirements for systems
• Work with end-user and other support staff to resolve connectivity issues

SPECIAL REUIREMENTS:

No Travel
In addition to the standard Background Check and Drug Screening, the Candidate must be able to pass background investigation conducted by Anaheim Police Department or their designated agency to support systems which may include a polygraph. Candidate will be required to work on a rotating on-call shift which includes evenings and weekends to meet service levels and support requirements. Candidate must work onsite at the customer location and will be required to be mobile to support the environment, work with the HP Leadership team and City Officials.
