Position Profile / Job Description

Job Responsibilities
·         Develop and test database backup and recovery plans and procedures that guarantee a quick recovery from database failures. Maintain standards and documentation
·         Develop and test database backup and recovery plans and procedures that guarantee a quick recovery from database failures. Maintain standards and documentation
·         Monitor and tune databases to ensure optimum performance
·         Provide technical assistance to other departmental members in the investigation, analysis, and resolution of database problems
·         Plan, design, and implement databases. Such activities would include interaction with all affected parties to determine data access requirements, transaction rates, volume analysis, security, and other pertinent data required to install and maintain databases

Qualifications
·         This position requires a four-year college degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience) along with three to five years of experience in Information Systems with a minimum of two years experience with database management systems
