Job Description:
Release Manager
A technical release manager to lead release
deployment and tracking activities for the client. This consultant will
interface with the customer management/technical resources, other consultants
and architect/Senor level engineers as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop
and document release plans including schedule, resource allocation and
management reporting.
- Works to
develop ROM estimation LOEs for implementation planning of technical data
package delivery.
- Create/Update
Releases, Activities & Tasks in BMC Remedy.
- Provides
feedback on how the established processes and technology can be improved.
- Stays
current on evolving technology and standards used for product development
and delivery
- Consistently
considers what value is being delivered to the customer in all decisions
that affect daily work and management of projects
- Verifies
that quality measures in procedures are complete and effective, ensures
proper recording of results in tickets and documentation.
- Actively
participates in scheduled off-hour operations, weekend work and on-call
rotation shifts as required by IT Service Management procedures and
guidelines.
Requirements:
Understands the technology used to
develop and deliver products to the end customer, including, but not limited
to, application frameworks, virtualization, networking, storage, operating
systems, database management systems, monitoring, software packaging,
deployment solutions, scripting and automation. Experienced in ITIL.

- MS project, Visio, Word, Excel, BMC Remedy (or similar tool),

- General
- Very strong verbal communications skills, including the ability to
manage conference call from technician to senior management levels
- Technical writing skills
Minimum Position Requirements
(including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.):
- Bachelor's degree in computer science,
information technology, or equivalent, plus at least five years of
Release/Project management deploying and managing software and systems in
both physical and virtualized environment, or an equivalent combination of
education and work experience are required.
- Experience
with VMware virtualization and public cloud solutions preferred
- Experience
supporting product delivery tools is required.
- Prefer
experience with HP Server Automation, Operations Orchestration, Network
Automation, and familiarity with HP uCMDB and BSM.
- Must pass background investigation to achieve
secret clearance.
