Job Description:

Seasoned engineer with ability to manage and deploy enterprise datacenter compute and storage technologies. Must possess architecture, capacity, and solution design skillsets; vendor management; and team leadership experience. Candidate must also communicate well and deliver significant technological documentation in support of customer continual operations. Compute / Storage Lead will coordinate and execute the installation, configuration, verification, and validation of the compute and storage technologies in coordination with engineering personnel and supporting vendors.

Successful candidate will have prior experience leading engineering teams, be familiar with modern datacenter toolsets, platforms, and integrations; possess documented experience with DoD security implementations; and have exposure to multiple datacenter disciplines to include compute, storage, networking, firewalling, auditing, and security.

This position will operate as part of a multi-discipline datacenter implementation responsible to deploy, configure, secure, and accredit multiple DoD environments. A DoD secret clearance or higher is required.

Qualifications

Required Educational Background
BA/BS required.    

Required Experience/Skills:

Minimum of five years of compute and storage systems design and implementation experience at an enterprise level (100 or more hosts). The applicant will demonstrate experience in implementing and managing HP Blade System, ProLiant, 3PAR technologies, and SAN fabric architecture and zoning.

Minimum of five years engineering experience with a minimum of 2 years of demonstrable engineering team lead experience. Experience establishing priority, setting tasks, and resolving technical issues on the fly.

Familiarity with VMware vSphere, networking, security, and DoD STIG and DIACAP or RMF.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Security+ certification (ability to achieve certificate within 30 days of start)

Desired Skills:
HP engineering certified.

Special Circumstances:

Job is in Kansas City, MO.  At least 20% travel anticipated
Must be a US Citizen. DoD Secret clearance required.
