Description:
Basic NW Engineering qualifications: Network Design or network
Architect. Performs modifications to LAN/WAN infrastructure, troubleshoot
VLANs, GRE tunnels, BGP, QoS, and OSPF routing protocols, configure and
troubleshoot juniper firewalls and cisco routers and switches, virtualization
(VMWare) and Virtual distributed switch configuration and/or maintenance,
ACL design and troubleshooting, experience with layer 2 and 3 network
implementations. Ability to script in PERL or other similar language.
Desired Skills: Modify NW device configurations and develop
deployment installation scripts, experience with Cisco Virtual Switching System
(VSS), Splunk and other NW monitoring tools (HP overview, Wireshark, Finisar,
and Anue). Ability to act as project engineer for the deployment and
sustainment of NW device equipment, experience with 24 hour Operational site
support, and security appliance experience (TACACS), CISSP (or sec+ cert), CCNA
and/or CCNP. Ability to assist in preparation of ROMs /estimate to complete
(ETC) activity support. Ability to travel < 10-15 %.
